Vybb

Meet safely

Vybb is an adults-only community for going out together. These are the rules we hold members to and what happens when someone breaks them.

Community guidelines

Adults 18+ only. Every member confirms their birthdate and agrees to our terms when joining. Birthdates are verified on our servers and locked after sign-up.

Be real. Use your own profile. Pretending to be someone else, or running accounts for other people, isn't allowed.

Respect people. No harassment, hate speech, threats or unwanted sexual content — in posts, stories, reels, chats, comments or live streams.

No pressure. Nobody owes anyone a meetup, a reply or a plan invite. Unblocking re-opens access, but consent always comes first.

Keep plans honest. Hosts should describe plans accurately and show up. Tickets are only sold through Vybb, and prices shown are what you pay.

Keep it legal. No illegal activity, selling or sharing of drugs, weapons or stolen goods, and no content that puts members at risk.

Leave strangers' data alone. No screenshots used to harass, no sharing other members' details outside Vybb.

Age checks

Vybb is strictly for adults. Here's how the 18+ rule is enforced:

Birthdate at sign-up. Every new member enters their date of birth and confirms they're 18 or older before their account is created.

Checked on our servers. The age check runs on Vybb's servers, not just on your phone — it can't be skipped by tinkering with the app.

Locked after sign-up. A birthdate can't be edited afterwards, so nobody can change their age once they're in.

Guests are gated too. Browsing without an account requires confirming you're 18 first, and guests can't join plans, buy tickets or message anyone.

Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.

Your privacy

You control who sees you. Posts, stories and reels can be shared with everyone, connections only, or just yourself.

Connections are mutual. Members only see your connection-only content, invite you to plans and message you freely after you both accept.

Your exact location is never shown. Plans and events show a venue and area — never where you are right now.

Private memories stay private. Anything you save in Memories is visible only to you.

You can leave. Settings lets you download nothing to keep — deleting your account removes your profile, posts and messages from Vybb.

We don't sell member data, and we don't show your profile to anyone you've blocked.

How plans are moderated

Real members only. Only signed-in, onboarded members can host or join a plan — there's no anonymous hosting.

Hosts are accountable. Every plan shows its host, and the host's profile, history and reports are one tap away.

Plans can be reported. Any member can report a plan or its host; reported plans go to the safety team with full context.

Blocked members stay out. Someone you've blocked can't join your plans or appear in your plan chats.

Group chats are member-only. Plan and squad chats are limited to their members — nobody can add themselves or read along uninvited.

Hosts who mislead members, don't show up, or use plans to harass can lose hosting privileges or their account.

Reporting

Every post, story, comment, reel, plan, chat message and member profile can be reported right where you see it. Tap Report, describe what's wrong, and it goes straight to our safety team.

Reports are saved with the content and the member who shared it, so the team can see the full context — you don't need to prove anything or gather evidence.

You can report without the other member knowing. Reporting never notifies them.

Blocking

Blocking is instant and one-way. From any member's profile, tap Block and they immediately:

can't message you or reply to you

can't see your posts, stories or reels

can't join your plans or appear in your chats

You can see who you've blocked and unblock anyone in Settings → Privacy & safety.

What happens after a report

Our safety team reviews every report in order — most are handled within 24 hours, urgent ones faster.

A first violation usually gets a warning and the content is removed.

Repeated or serious violations — harassment, threats, impersonation, illegal activity — lead to the account being removed from Vybb.

Anything suggesting real-world danger is escalated to the safety team leads immediately.

We don't share who reported a member, and we don't share enforcement details about other members' accounts.

How we keep Vybb safe by design

Safety isn't just what happens after something goes wrong — it's built into how Vybb works:

Membership is 18+ and checked on our servers, not just in the app.

Plan invitations only go to people you've connected with.

Payments for tickets go through M-Pesa, and check-ins are verified with QR codes so tickets can't be faked or reused.

Reports go to a private safety center that only the safety team can open.

Questions or urgent concerns

If something feels unsafe right now, report it in the app — reports are reviewed by real people, not just filtered.

For anything else about safety, write to the team and we'll get back to you.

Vybb is for adults 18+. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
